According to CNBC’s 2009 results, Oklahoma has earned the #1 spot for offering the lowest cost of living in the country. Enid’s cost of living is well below the national average in almost all major categories and is among the lowest in Oklahoma. Coupled with Enid’s relatively high per capita income (2nd out of Oklahoma’s 17 micropolitan areas), residents in the Enid region enjoy the benefits of more disposable income. This is an attractive feature for young families, senior citizens, and retailers.
