Poet and violinist Leonora Speyer once wrote, “The trees are God’s great alphabet: With them he writes in shining green across the world His thoughts serene.”
Trees are an important feature on the campus of Northern Oklahoma College Enid, as evidenced by the fact the school recently became the first college in the state awarded the Tree Campus USA designation from the national Arbor Day Foundation.
That makes NOC Enid one of only 74 colleges in the nation to receive this honor.
Thumbs up to NOC Enid and its efforts to go green, literally, with its ongoing efforts to plant and maintain trees on campus.
