The Enid Regional Development Alliance is a non-profit (501c6) organization established to increase the economic prosperity of Enid, Oklahoma and the surrounding area. We are funded through corporate memberships, and public funding from the City of Enid and the Garfield County Industrial Authority.
There are three areas we focus on in Enid’s economic development. First is in supporting our entrepreneurs. We partner with the James W. Strate Center for Business Development which offers incubation space, business mentoring and counseling in areas such as financial planning, marketing, and exporting. This resource has become the center for entrepreneurial development in Northwest Oklahoma. The Development Alliance works closely with the Center to ensure that our entrepreneurs are given every opportunity to be successful.
The second area of emphasis is local business retention and expansion. The Development Alliance is committed to staying in touch with the needs and interests of our local businesses. Our members play a key role in bringing awareness to the concerns of our local business community. For expanding businesses, The Development Alliance offers the Grow Enid Loan Fund which is designed to bridge the capital needs of new or expanding industry. Retaining and expanding our local businesses is the key to our long-term growth in Enid.
The third area of emphasis is business recruitment. The Development Alliance markets Enid to the rest of the world using various print and web advertising, and by representing Enid at trade shows in our target industries. Offering Tax Increment Finance Districts in our business solicitation package makes Enid a serious contender for any business looking to relocate. Enid has available buildings and greenspace ready to accommodate all types of industry including technology, manufacturing, or service companies.
